TIME FOR A LOW TECH WAR ?
YOU DECIDE !
As we face a new Al Queda offensive in Iraq, Afghanistan, and The Middle East: Perhaps it is time to stop spending millions of dollars on weapons of this century and revert to those that have withstood the test of time, Brute Force, and Physics. A single C131 or KC135 can carry thousands of pounds of dead weight. They can place payloads with great precision in exact locations. They can be built to fly by wire. It is time to think about these facts. It is time to recognize that flying million dollar weapons half way around the world to fight people who are armed with AK47s, RPGs, and IPDs, is insane. It is time to fight this war with what is available in country, dirt.
It is also a good idea to build infrastructure in Iraq and Afghanistan, that will lead to a better life NOW. Lets begin a massive water reserve, roads and transportation project to employ the people of the country. Lets use the dirt from that to create giant, plastic lined, boxes.
Then fill those boxes with dirt and drop them from our planes on any pockets of Al Queda we encounter. We control the air and could fly such missions with minimum risk. The sheer terror the enemy would experience in such an attack would be a giant factor in the mines of the opposition. This would be a perfect cost cutting measure and good for all. It would, in one swoop be economic aid, a war changing tactic, and save lives in combat. WE WOULD LITTERALLY BE BURYING THE ENEMY WITHOUT A SHOT !
We have dozers and trucks to spare in every reserve unit, could secure and area we chose to use them in, and would never see another close combat injury. It would be up to the local forces how fast they dug the enemy out, and they would get the spoils, plus be seen as the good guys.
If you support this concept, call your congressman and suggest "The Whack A Mo Strategy" Bury your enemy !
